Visit the Scottsdale
Civic Center Mall to appreciate all that this exciting
city has to offer- free parking for starters.
You are
greeted with vibrant flowers and tinkling fountains in a lovely
plaza. Pick up a map for a self-guided tour of Old Town Scottsdale
at The Little Red
Schoolhouse. This charming Mall museum introduces you
to Scottsdale’s beginnings and includes a replica of a 1900s
schoolroom.
For the
latest in drama, dance, music or comedy, check out the theater
schedules at the Scottsdale
Center for the Arts, also on the Mall. And right next
door the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art always has
something fresh and thought provoking to offer.
Stroll
the surrounding streets and feel the energy in the heart of
Scottsdale Downtown.
Dine south of the border or choose the cuisine of Japan, Italy
or nouvelle Southwest. In an area of superb restaurants Cowboy
Ciao Wine Bar & Grill seems to stands out with its cool
atmosphere, great food, and incredible wine list.
Take time
to browse for antiques or fine art, cowboy boots or fine jewelry-
it is all here and much, much more. Or just enjoy a walk in
the lovely weather, savor the architecture of Old Town, stop
for a drink or an ice cream cone, people watch- it’s your
holiday!
Tip:
From November to May free trolley service is provided around
Scottsdale Downtown from 11am to 6pm Monday-Saturday.
A Saturday
morning Farmer’s Market tempts you with fresh produce, flowers,
breads, and even tamales from October to July.

Downtown and Old Town Scottsdale all flow together; the
Mall is located east of Scottsdale Rd. between Indian School
Rd. and 2nd St; the heart of Downtown Scottsdale is found
at Scottsdale and Indian School Rds. with the Contemporary
Arts District on Marshall Way and the shopping district
on 5th Ave; Old Town is in the area surrounding Main St. and
Brown Ave. in Scottsdale Downtown.
